Boyd McGehee
Agency OwnerI have over 16 years of experience as an independent insurance agent, providing insurance services in various states, niches, and lines of coverage. The best part about my job is being in a unique opportunity to help people on a daily basis. At Talladega Insurance, we genuinely care about our customers and want to help secure them their peace of mind. I grew up in the Talladega/Anniston area, so I know this community and its people well.
I am a proud alumnus of The University of Alabama, and a graduate of The National Alliance’s Producer School. Having been around the insurance industry my whole life, I am honored to be serving this community as a trusted advisor. There is nothing better than saving my customers money on their insurance policies, bettering their coverage, and restoring them whole in the event of a claim.
On a personal note, there is nothing more important to me in life than family. That’s why in my free time, you can find me on the tennis courts chasing my three daughters around. I also love grilling out, hiking/backpacking, and watching movies! Besides gastronomy and insurance, another major passion of mine is helping people.
In 2008, I was named Alabama’s Young Agent of the Year by the Alabama Independent Insurance Agent Association. I also served as President of “The Yutes,” a young agent subsidiary of Shared Agency Services. I am more than active in many civic duties and serve on following: The Greater Talladega Chamber of Commerce board, Alabama Young Agents Association board, President of The Donoho Alumni Association, The Boys and Girls Club board, President of The Rotary Club of Talladega, The Red Door Kitchen board, and The Red Cross board. Just recently, I’m proud to announce that I was even named one of Talladega’s “People Making a Difference.”
I also served as President of the Young Agents of Alabama in 2013 and I am currently serving on the National Board of Directors for Young Agents, representing the South Eastern states. My greatest achievement in the insurance industry (outside of insuring some really cool accounts!) was serving as the National Young Agents Chair for Independents Insurance Agents of America. This National office introduced me to some of the greatest friends and insurance company executives around the entire country. I also like to write, and I recently published an article distributed by The Independent Agent, and it was recognized as one of the top 8 articles for 2013.

Susan Parker
Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative, CSRI started my career in the insurance industry while still in high school, but have been working for Talladega Insurance for nearly 34 years! The best part about my job is that I learn something new every day. In fact, I even take insurance continuing education courses each year.
I was born and raised in Sylacauga, Alabama and am happy to call this great community my home. That’s why I cherish my role as a trusted advisor to the many friends I have the pleasure of calling our clients! Plain and simple: I enjoy helping customers find the right coverage for their need.
When I’m not helping to fulfill the insurance needs of our clients, you can find me spending my weeks at the lake camping, fishing, and being with my friends. In my spare time, I also like to volunteer as a firefighter in my local VFD.
Meri Beth Keith
Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, CISRI have been with Talladega Insurance Agency over a decade, 12 years to be exact! I wouldn’t change anything about my experience working at this agency. Having grown up right here in Talladega, Alabama, I am proud of being in the unique position to give back to this community by keeping people and their families feeling safe and protected.
As a trusted advisor to this community, I absolutely love my job. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than finding our customers’ the best coverage for the best rate possible. Here at Talladega Insurance, we work hard to turn customers into friends and clients into family!
Speaking of family, I enjoy spending my free time with my children and their extracurricular activities. If I’m not working, I’m either at the ball field, singing in my church’s choir, or at home curled up reading a good book. I am very involved in my church and volunteer in the children’s department a lot.
Lauren Deal
Customer Service Representative (CSR)While I am relatively new to the Talladega Insurance Team, I already feel like part of the family! Each day, I look forward to helping customers throughout this community I love, and beyond.
I was born and raised here in Talladega, Alabama and I moved to Tuscaloosa after graduating from Talladega High School. I attended Shelton State Community College as well as The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). As a Customer Service Rep, I like to take the time to get to know my clients personally. I am very passionate about working with others to help them in addition to comforting them during certain situations to reach a positive outcome.
Something that most people know about me is that I love event planning and working with local charities to help better this wonderful community. I am also passionate about football and my favorite thing to do is attend games with my friends and family.
I am currently involved in various non-profit organizations including The Talladega Junior Welfare League, Pilgrimage Council, United Way, and I currently serve as Director of other various events in my community.
Theresa Davis
Customer Service Representative – Commercial Lines, Bonds, & ClaimsI have had a long and successful career in the insurance industry—with over 20 years of experience in various areas of insurance. I love my job because it is exciting; insurance a constantly changing field, so there is always something new to learn. In particular, working with Commercial clients is rewarding because I get to watch new businesses grow and see the pride in an owner over his success. Insurance is a part of that success, and offering products that can help a small business grow is what we do best here at Talladega Insurance.
I am a native of wonderful Talladega, Alabama, but I also spent 10 years in the Birmingham area. However, I moved back to Talladega to raise my children and be closer to my family. Speaking of, my greatest joy in life happens to be my family. They are funny, wise, caring, and always keep me on my toes!
When I am not at work, you can find me on the lake or spending time with my family. We find new places to visit and new adventures to enjoy. A spur of the moment getaway is always a possibility! I also love reading and wholeheartedly believe there is nothing better than curling up with a good book and a cup of hot tea on a cold day. In my spare time, I like to stay busy with church activities. There is always something going on that can use an extra hand.
Todd Roberts
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)I joined the Talladega Insurance Team in August of 2010 as a Commercial Risk Management Analyst–specializing in larger, commercial accounts. I am a 19-year veteran to the Risk Management and Insurance Industry, having worked primarily with manufacturing and contracting companies and over the past 10 years.
I graduated from Auburn University in 1997 with a degree in Landscape Design and a concentration in Business Administration. After working to build a large, successful landscaping business in Jacksonville, FL, I moved home to Birmingham and earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) after graduating in the top of the class. As a business owner myself, I can genuinely relate to our clients and help fulfill all their insurance needs, at the best price!
I also volunteer frequently in fire departments across the state of Alabama. Not only that, I like to spend my free time being involved in the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Association and serving on the Board of Directors as a two-time past Chairman of the Alabama Young Agents, and past Chairman of the Legislative Committee—dealing with Insurance Legislation in Montgomery and Washington D.C.
